The Best Phone For OSRS Mobile

When gaming, we want the best experience possible. No lag, high-quality graphics, and no overheating. It doesn't matter if it's on a PC, console, or a mobile device. Even if you just want to farm OSRS gold or explore Gielinor, nothing beats smoothness and clarity to top off an amazing game.

One such game is OSRS Mobile. The longstanding game is now available on your phone or tablet! You don't even have to make another account and start from scratch. It lets you continue your adventures with your PC account, as well as play with your friends who are on either port of the game.

The best Gielinor experience needs a phone that can handle a port of the game. Gaming phones are all the rage for this kind of thing. For this article, we'll introduce you to the best one for this year.

2019's Best Gaming Phone

The year's best gaming phone (so far) is Asus's ROG phone. It has a 6-inch AMOLED screen with 1080x2160 resolution. Its processor is an octa-core Snapdragon 845, clocking at 4x2.96 + 4x1.7 gigahertz. What's more, an Adreno 360 is its graphics processor, and it has an impressive 8 GB RAM.

Internal storage can be either 128 or 512 gigabytes, but it doesn't have MicroSD support. Battery capacity is at 4000 mAh. Rear cameras are 12 and 8 megapixels and support both 2160p and 1080p. The front camera is 8 MP. The phone starts out with Android 8 by default.

All that is packed into 200 grams of pure awesomeness! However, it comes with a rather hefty price tag of $900. That's not even taking into account the various accessories you can buy for it, as they are also quite costly individually.

The More Affordable Alternatives

While that can burn a rather sizeable hole in your pocket, there are cheaper alternatives to buying that exceptional piece of technology. Sure, it might not deliver the same kind of experience, but we sometimes have to use our creativity to stretch out our budget?

Thankfully, OSRS Mobile will work on most devices, provided they have the following specifications:

• It can run Android Lollipop (5.0) and above. For Apple devices, those with iOS 10.0 or later.

• Has at least 1 GB RAM

What would you expect from a game that even the most potato of PCs can run? Jagex wants their game to be really accessible, and so it is! Their game will run on a majority of devices that were released after 2014. However, they found out that there are problems with all Chromebooks, the ASUS Nexus 7, HTC Nexus 9, the NVIDIA Shield, Google Pixel C, and the Huawei P8 Lite.

Anyway, you can go with more mainstream phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, and Note 9. Others include LG's V40 ThinQ, the OnePlus 6, Moto Z3, and Huawei's P20 Pro. These phones are all more affordable than the first one introduced in the article, even if they still relatively pricey. They actually go far, far beyond the simple requirements of the app.

So What is the Actual Best Phone for OSRS Mobile?

That's up to you! ‘The Best' is actually subjective and up to personal preference. Chances are, you don't even have to buy a new phone to play the game. That is, unless you're part of the unfortunate owners of the exceptions listed above, or are the owner of a more than five-year-old model.

If you're dead set on buying a new phone, make a list of all the features that you want in a phone, and find one with most of those characteristics. Also, pick the one that's within your budget. That way, you'll be totally satisfied with your purchase. You won't regret buying something that you found wasn't all that it was advertised to be.

Good luck with finding the best phone for adventuring in Gielinor!
