MonsterTower game review

The story starts…The monsters that roam the world have tried to survive peacefully without any type of conflict.

It has a unique and gripping twist to the classic defence style game that is currently on the market. It has good sound effects; the gameplay is simple and appealing with good graphics and details. There is a good storyline to follow that reveals itself as the player progresses into the game.

They accepted that humans do not like them and live in rural areas to avoid confrontation.

Slowly the amount of monsters living in the world begins to diminish due to humans capturing the harmless critters. The monsters retreat further to their small lair, where there final hope of survival lies - The egg of the unborn Monster King!

It is your job to help the monsters defend the egg and let it hatch so the Monster King can help regain control of the land. As the game starts it will run through the basics with a tutorial. This will initialise at the start of the game or when a new feature becomes active.

It is helpful to read through the guide so you understand how to use the items effectively. After each level, or attempt, the user can buy new monsters, upgrade existing monsters or purchase traps. These items can be purchased in two different ways, stars and gold.

Stars are collected by getting rated at the end of each level. The maximum stars you can earn per level are three. It is recorded by the amount of time the level has taken, the amount of energy you have spent and the health of your egg at the end of the round.

The other way to purchase upgrades is to spend gold. This is rewarded depending on the amount of soldiers you kill during the level. As the levels progress the game gets harder and more complicated. It is possible to lay traps and use monsters together, which provide extra damage and increase your chance of winning.

It also becomes very tactical and the user will have to deploy melee units at the front of the battle field while ranged monsters fight from behind. Only a few monsters have the ability to fire in the air, it is vital in later levels that your monsters control the sky and gain dominance with the combined use of traps monsters and using energy at the correct time.

There is a total of thirty-six different types of monster that become available to use throughout the course of the game and twenty-one trap features that can all be activated to help in saving the monsters precious egg.

There are a total of seventy-five levels that increase in difficulty as the player progress and more levels being designed as we speak! Monster Tower is an extremely good game to play with loads of features, upgrades and monsters available that will keep you interested for hours.

Monster Tower is available for iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone. The game is aimed towards young adults but is suitable for all ages; the later levels are quite difficult and younger players may find it hard to progress.
